PC Games

Have you ever played a game on your PC?
Don't lie and don't be shy. Come on .....even if it's Solitaire.
Games these days are much different than 20 years ago. We all remember Pong and the simple games on the old Atari and Coleco computer/consoles. These days (15 years ago up to now) games are really much more advanced.
Remember Space Invaders, Pacman, Ms. Pacman, and Donkey Kong. Today we have car racing games that could be mistaken for the real thing. We have action games that make people lose touch with reality.
SIMS is a game I have been exploring for the past 5 or so years. It is addictive. You created your characters and then put them into a real world scenario. You control all aspects of their life and even educated them so they take care of themselves. There are add on packages so you can make you SIMS go on vacation, a hot-date, or other similar things. Sports games including golf and car racing are spectacular. Other games I've played recently that I have gotten addicted to are Driver 3, SWAT 3 and 4, golf, Casino Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon, School Tycoon, and many more.

PC Games
This site is about comedy so I'll explore the funny side of PC games.
Pong was funny because we played it and got addicted. It's two lines and a light bouncing around a screen.........It's like a person putting a string in front of a cat. People might say look at that cat....it's being entertained by a piece of string. Don't forget the person who is dangling the string in front of the cat he/she is just as entertained. Before we had so many game choices we played Dominos, did puzzles, read a book, went out for a walk, stared out the window at the squirrels, watched our cars rust, watched paint dry, watched brand new buildings as they aged.
I believe if you've earned some money and paid your bills you should have the right to play a game or two every day. If not....... well get a job.
Send me your funny stories. Send me your thoughts. Send me free PC Games.

PC Games

In the movies they have product placement for money....you know the can of Coke----Did you know Coke adds life? Let me see if I can get some money or free stuff for mentioning the following:
Sierra, Ubisoft, Atari, Dell, MAXIS, Electronic Arts, Mercedes, Lamborghini----Countach or Mercialogo---I'm not fussy, Ferrari......or game companies. Well I'd rather have the car. Just kidding...I'll take both. Back to SIMS for a moment... In SIMS you control all the aspects of the character(s) life/lives. If you mess up or forget to tell them to do something you can have drastic and comedic consequences.
For basic characters you have to tell them when to eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, feed the child, play with the child, as well as other things. A well-developed character can usually take care of most of this without much trouble. If they don't eat when they need to they can faint and nap wherever they fall until they get enough rest. That is similar to sleeping. If they don't sleep by a certain point they will faint and sleep wherever they fall for some time. If they don't go to the bathroom/washroom when they need to ....well they just go right there on the floor wherever they are......The game only deals with number 1. You won't see human chocolate bars all over the place.

PC Games
If the baby doesn't get fed or isn't played with regular enough the Social Worker visits and takes the baby away. In SIMS a guy and a girl just kiss and hug a lot and then the game asks if you want a baby.......If you say yes the baby appears out thin air. We all wish it was that easy. The fun part is still the fun part but I don't think they can get away with that in games yet. Games that bring you closer to the fun part are Singles, Leisure Suit Larry (there are a few), and other similar games. Other situations are where your character is just careless. They can start a fire. or miss work or a few other things I can't remember right now.
I'd say that's a good start. Will take each game step by step in the near future. If I forget you'll have to remind me. E-Mail me at zany1968@sympatico.ca. Send game review, advice, pictures, pictures of you after a marathon game session.......if you still look kind of human. Tell me more. If you give me page worth on a game I will put the page up and give you a credit. Use it on your resume.
Oh yeah ......Don't forget....This site is about comedy so keep to the theme.
