Some Assembly Required is a Canadian comedy series that premiered on January 6, 2014 on YTV. The series was shot in front of a live audience in Burnaby, British Columbia.

The series was created by Dan Signer (The Suite Life on Deck, A.N.T. Farm, Mr. Young).  In one episode Mr. Young's friend is a French chef who tries to steal Piper from Travis.-- I'll try to remember the name of the guy. ---- Oh yeah!!!!!  It was Gig Morton who was Derby on the show.

In another episode about an interactive doll there is one senior citizen that was the teacher on Mr. Young that constantly taught about the War of 1812.   I remember!!!! That was Paula Shaw who played the part of Mrs. Byrne.  Google it.   This page is about Some Assembly Required.

Premise

14-year-old Jarvis Raines (Kolton Stewart), an average teenager who becomes a boss overnight after he sues a toy company over a defective chemistry set that blows up his house. Jarvis’ first act as CEO of Knickknack Toys is to recruit a diverse group of kids from his high school to help him run the company.

Usually something backfires when trying to developing a new toy, including P.Everett Knickknack fainting when
Jarvis and Piper want different songs.

Eventually, everything works itself out,
usually in Jarvis's favor, but he picks Piper's ideas saying they are better. ---spoiler alert ---Jarvis loves Piper and Piper loves Jarvis.  They kiss and we get a look at what there kids look like.  Piper both resents Jarvis and forgets Jarvis all in one episode.  Google it or watch all the episodes.

******
Inside info

The show just had it's finale a couple days ago.  I will miss the show.  I think they could have gone longer.  I think some of the kids had other directions they wanted to go.  I know Charlie sings.

Before the end credits, there are usually advertisements showing Knickknack toy's newest product, which are shown in said episode.

Production

The series was created and is executive produced by Dan Signer. The series is filmed in front of a live studio audience at 5828 Byrne Road, in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Cast and characters

Kolton Stewart as Jarvis Raines. He is an average teenager who becomes CEO of
Knickknack Toys, after suing the company when their defective chemistry set blows up his house.

Charlie Storwick as Piper Gray. She is a computer-savvy 'hacker chick' who is
hired by Jarvis. She's also have a crush on Jarvis.--remember they kiss and hug and we see their children.

Harrison Houde as Bowie Sherman. He is Jarvis' best friend.  He's a boatload of fun.  He's known for expelling a computerized blue ball from his butt.  He doesn't have a girlfriend so write your own joke.

There's a lot of innuendo.  If I remember correctly that means there are hints about sex all over the place.  For example "nobody wants to touch yours."

Sydney Scotia as Geneva Hayes. She is Jarvis' gorgeous personal assistant. Jarvis always seems to be slobbering over Geneva but as you know Jarvis and Piper get together.  What if Jarvis and Piper and Geneva.......of 13.....for now.

I might just do a blue version of this blog.  Don't tell the kids.

Dylan Playfair as Malcolm "Knox" Knoxford |||. He is an extreme sports
daredevil. He is recruited as the product and safety tester.  He's now on a new show called Letterkenny.  It's a show for older kids and there's swearing so parents be aware.

Travis Turner[8] as Aster Vanderberg. He is the most fashionable guy in the whole

school. He is the self-proclaimed King of Swag and the company's chief design officer.

Ellie Harvie[9] as Candace Previous owner of Knickknack. She refused to give

Jarvis a settlement after selling him a defective chemistry set. The jury gave the

company to him in a settlement. She has high doubts that Jarvis can own a company, but

she's always proved wrong in the end.
