One of my favourite bits that he did on stage was the one about him visiting a marine world kind of exhibit. He is looking into the water tank to see the killer whale but he can't see it. Suddenly the whale, which has had it's eye against the tank, blinks and scares Brent back. The eye is bigger than his head.

After a moment Brent pretends to do some signals to the whale. He giggles and then the whale actually swims away and eats the trainer. He walks away slowly.

Brent Butt is a Canadian comedian and is most famous for his role as Brent Leroy on the TV series Corner Gas, which he created and which airs on CTV in Canada. The show was an instant hit when it debuted in early 2004 and is currently in production on its fifth season. Brent was born on August 3, 1966 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.

Brent won an award for Best Male Stand-up in 2001, Best Male TV Performance (Corner Gas, 2004-05), and Best Writing - TV Series (Corner Gas, 2004).

He has performed on CBC radio and the Comedy Network. He started his career in the Yuk Yuk's chain in Western Canada, before moving to Toronto in 1989, where he set up shop in a Cabbagetown apartment with two other comedians. In Toronto, Butt worked in the Yuk Yuk's chain before leaving and becoming one of the most successful comedians in Canada.

On May 19, 2005, Butt hosted a Command Performance gala for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Leslie Nielson also performed.

Butt is married to his Corner Gas co-star, Nancy Robertson.
