Cristela is an American situation comedy television series that premiered on October 10, 2014, on ABC, as part of the 2014–15 television season. The series was created by stand-up comedienne Cristela Alonzo, who also stars in and writes for the series and serves as an executive producer with co-creator Kevin Hench, Becky Clements, Marty Adelstein, and Shawn Levy for Fox Television Studios.[1][2] This makes her the first Latina to create, produce, write, and star in her own primetime comedy.[3] It airs on Friday nights at 8:30 pm (ET/PT)/7:30 pm (CT).[4][5]
